Effect of Dissemination of Resources and Information Method for Overnutrition Prevention Behavior on Primary School Children in Makassar

The prevalence of overnutrition among primary school aged children, which ranges from the risk obesityglobally including Indonesia, is currently increasing. This study aimed to assess difference in behaviorchange physical activity and habit soft drinks consumptions before after intervention withthe dissemination method resources information. research was conducted at schools inMakassar City. used a Quasy Experiment approach with pretest post-test examinationthrough control group design. for 3 months by providing health information relatedto obesity while monthlyvisit or monitoring children carried out using 24 hourfood recall. sampling technique means proportional random sampling. Data wereanalyzed univariate, bivariate, multivariate analysis. results showed that there an effect ofdissemination on (p = 0.000) drink consumptionhabits intervention. conclusion application effective changing behavior preventing overnutritionin children. It expected efforts such as ofresources peer education will become reference prevent more nutritionin improving students’ healthy eating patterns through
